"Ink Cap" - Box
"Ink Cap" - Box
Hand-painted wooden box decorated with a sculpture made of air-drying clay. The sculpture depicts the "Common Inkcap" mushroom, which ends in a quartz crystal embedded in the wood and attached to the mushroom.
✶ Box painted entirely by hand
✶ The box is covered with a layer of durable varnish for its finish and protection.
✶ The mushroom is sculpted entirely by hand and covered in UV resin.
✶ The interior is lined with velvet fabric.
Maintenance & precautions
The air-dry clay was waterproofed before painting. The box and the sculpture are protected by a coat of varnish and UV resin, respectively. I recommend dusting the box with a dry microfiber cloth. A slightly damp cloth may be used if necessary, however.
It must not be immersed in water or remain in prolonged contact with moisture.
To preserve the creation for as long as possible, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for long periods. It is not designed for prolonged outdoor use.
The sculpture remains fragile and may break if dropped or struck. Should this happen, please contact me so we can see together if a repair is possible.
